Live Line Program Assessment

Manitoba Hydro International was contracted by EPS Electroistok to provide an assessment of the live line program and recommend any necessary changes needed to bring it up to acceptable standards. The assessment included:

• Reviewed the current design and maintenance of EPS transmission lines, so that appropriate live line tools may be recommended for purchase by EPS.
• Reviewed the organization, vehicles, equipment and tools required to prepare a focused training plan appropriate to EPS linemen to perform Live Line Maintenance.
• Viewed the EPS transmission line facilities, the site for the training of the EPS linemen, and witnessed an EPS crew at work in the field.
• Developed a comprehensive report on the findings.
