ESKOM HVDC Services

MHI was contracted to provide a number of HVDC related services to ESKOM over the course of 2 years (7 projects in total). The services included HVDC pre-commissioning, HVDC training, and analysis modeling.

The Pre-commissioning of the Apollo – Cahora Bassa HVDC Scheme included:

• By-pass control circuit planning
• Implementation and testing
• Planning of the operation
