Generation Expansion Contract - Island of Newfoundland Interconnected Electrical System

MHI was awarded a contract, by the Newfoundland and Labrador Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities, to review and report on two generation expansion alternatives for the Island of Newfoundland Interconnected Electrical System. MHI over the course of the project will provide the following:

• A review of all previous work performed by consultants and others related to the Projects and the Isolated Island Option which are necessary for the Consultant to perform the services. Previous work includes the following: all relevant studies, reports, cumulative present worth analysis and other available information. MHI will report on whether the work was performed with the degree of skill, care and diligence required by customarily accepted professional practices and procedures normally completed in the performance of similar work.
• A comprehensive review of the Cumulative Present Worth (CPW) analysis of the Projects in order to identify the least-cost alternative.
• A final report on MHI’s findings.
• The provision of ongoing support to the Board in preparation of its report to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.
