Rural Electrification Project Programme

This eight year services project, which concluded in 2002, was executed for the Rural Electrification Programme Ltd. (REP) (on behalf of Jamaica Public Service Company) and involved all aspects of review of design, tendering, material procurement, construction and inspection, progress payments and commissioning for the Rural Electrification Project. Tasks included:

• Advisory services in electric utility distribution line construction.
• Reviews of design and tender documents
• Assistance with tendering and selection of suppliers and contractorsAssistance to the REP during construction on all matters related to technical inspection, reporting, cost control, measurement and payment of contractors' work as completed, and supervision of commissioning.
• Provision of post construction services to ensure all facilities are operating satisfactorily, verification of "as built" drawings and the preparation of a project completion report.
