Electric Power III Reconstruction

The components of this project were:

• Evaluating the distribution system on site, including distribution feeders and distribution stations
• Developing a detailed plan for continuing to rehabilitate and strengthen the bulk transmission system and distribution networks to further improve availability, safety and manage environmental impacts
• Supporting power sector reform, coal sector restructuring and strengthening of power sector institutions.
• Conducting transmission, substations, generating stations and distribution, system technical and economic analysis. The need for projects was analysed and justified both from a technical and economic perspective. 
• Preparing detailed estimates and lists of materials for IBRD to be used in their negotiations with donor countries.
